Broome Caravan Parks all offer beautiful shady accommodation with most offering park homes, swimming pools, powered and unpowered sites and plenty of room for campers. During the dry season, especially June and July, they are pretty full. If you find them full, it might be a good opportunity to explore Dampier Peninsula or the beautiful gorges along the Gibb River Road.

Town Beach Caravan Park has now been leased by Discovery Parks and has been extensively renovated. It now boasts a gorgeous new pool and some very modern tiny homes that look right over the bay.

I am absolutely aghast at the lack of facilities to accommodate travelers with their pets in Broome/ WA. So many people travel with their animals, leaving the east coast and then having to deal with this upon arrival in WA.
Kununurra would be the best place where at one park you have to have an animal or a big rig, or you can not come in. This place is beautiful with grassed areas, wide open spaces, no overcrowding like in the “zoos” that don’t take pets. It is perfect and do you know what …. Every single person is responsible, looks after their animal and is so friendly.
Think about it WA …. Your reputation is not good. Eventually you may need us feral pet owners to keep your parks going.
Very disappointing and so very, very unnecessary. Take a leaf out of the the American and Canadian parks. They would run rings around this mob here. You only think you have caravan parks here. Leaves a lot to be desired ….. such a shame …..
I agree with the comment made about WA not having “Pet Friendly” Caravan Parks/Powered Sites. We are planning our trip and have no end of problems trying to find these parks that take pets. We are very responsible pet owners and feel that the minority of pet owners have given us a bad reputation. Our baby is only small and goes everywhere with us, she would be devastated if we left her home for such a long period of time while travelling, plus she loves the motorhome. What a shame W.A.!!!!

Being an owner of a houseful of pets I agree with your frustrations!
In the heart of the season in Broome they open an overflow park called the PCYC and when it’s full they open the Pistol Club. It is great and run by pet lovers so makes it a really pleasant place to stay. It’s a bit of a “bush” setting style, but good. We prefer it to the PCYC which is just a big paddock with very little shade …. Hope this helps ….
